So will the phone be tied to a contract or sim-locked like the iphone? That would really go against being open and all. Wonder which manufacturer will launch their Android phone next.

Where’s the 3.5mm headphone jack?

I’ve never been a big fan of the feel of HTC qwerty keyboards and from the looks of it, doesn’t look like the G1 will be much of an improvement.

Gotta see if the Android OS improves the battery life over Windows Mobile devices.

The best part of it seems to be the pricing. Provided they don’t pull a “US$199 iPhone (but only if you sign a 2 year contract and we’re not selling you one without a contract)” stunt.

Google offers sync’ing online for MS Outlook, hopefully that will work on the Android as well.. but until I get a hands-on, I’m not sure how it works for now.

I’m using WM6 on Treo 750 now, I wonder if these contacts can be easily transferred over to Dream phone?
