That’s a really competitive price compared to the other phones primed as iphone killers. Though I think it’d be great to have a device that’s so good for surfing the net…the iphone seems to fall short in some of the most important things no? I hear from friends who have it that the phone hangs quite frequently, reception is bad and battery life dismal. This even after the update. Anyone has a different experience?

You love the iphone and still don’t want one? Don’t let religion stop you from getting the gadget of the year!

Singapore is selling unlocked iphone 3G at exorbitant prices. They can be bought at SGD 800 in Beijing and lower if you’re good at bargaining.

Seems like a good deal, letting people choose their own operators. Compared to the ahbeng price of $1,400 at Sim Lim, Apple’s S$990 also makes it attractive when put next to competitors like the Samsung Omnia and HTC Touch Diamond.

Now you wonder how long SingTel’s gonna have this exclusivity for… and when the market would be flooded by it… but one thing hasn’t changed – i still don’t want one!
