If the original Pebble in black and red isn’t appealing enough, you’d be happy to know that more flashy variants of the popular smartwatch have hit our shores.

Draped in Fresh Green, Hot Pink and Fly Blue, the neon-coloured gadgets in the “FreshHotFly” series even includes specially created watchfaces that complement every colour option.

These limited edition watches were the result of the #ColorMyPebble campaign in 2012 that saw fans worldwide suggesting new colour combinations they hoped to see in future Pebble collections.

Apart from bold colours, the smartwatch shares the same DNA as the original Pebble: a scratch-resistant plastic body, 1.26-inch e-ink screen with a 144-by-168 pixel resolution, and a battery that’s touted to last five to seven days on a single charge.

The water-resistant smartwatch still lets users check on incoming calls, e-mails, text messages and control their music player while supporting notifications from WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and other commonly used apps.

The wearables market is set to become tech’s next big battlefield, with the likes of Apple Watch and a slew of Android Wear watches eyeing a slice of the pie. Meanwhile, the grand old dame of smartwatches is holding up well against the competition with its e-ink screen and long battery life.

Folks who have been waiting for a refresh of a proven product can snag one of these cool-looking watches at a recommended price of S$249. Visit pebble.sg for a full list of retailers carrying the smartwatch.
