Brought to you by Fuji Xerox

How often have you taken a bunch of business cards and left them in your pocket or in a corner of the table, after a long day of meetings? Well, don’t miss the details of an important contact – someone you might need to call on years down the road – by recording all the details of everyone you meet.

You can easily do that with Fuji Xerox’s SkyDesk Cards. It is part of a new app made for users of the company’s cloud-based SkyDesk services, which include a range of enterprise collaboration tools such as e-mail and customer relationship management (CRM).

To record a business card, simply take out your Android smartphone or Apple iPhone and take a picture of it. An app on the phone automatically takes care of the details, such as name and address. So simple to use, this gives you peace of mind that every person you meet can become a valuable contact in future.

Here’s how you do it:

Digitise & share business cards with Android

Step 1: Log in to SkyDesk Cards app.

Step 2: Tap the ‘Add new card’ button.

Step 3: Tap on ‘Take Photo’ to snap the card image. Click ‘Save’ after taking the picture.

Step 4: Select ‘Take back’ to snap the back image of the card, otherwise, select ‘Upload only’ to upload the card image.

Step 5: View the uploaded card in ‘Personal Cards’.

Step 6: Tap on the card details to edit, add notes or share card information.
Note: sharing function is only available in paid edition.
