Software design and consulting services ThoughtWorks was named the best large technology company to work for in Singapore, as part of a biennial award given out by industry association Singapore Computer Society last week.

In its category, it was ahead of HP Inc., Microsoft Operations, Singtel and Unity Technologies, which were also picked by to a panel of judges made up of industry veterans and human resource practitioners to be on a list of Top-10 tech companies to work for.

For mid-sized organisations, with 50 to 500 staff globally, the winners were two Singapore-based companies – M-Daq, which facilitates cross-border business, and ViSenze, which provides artificial intelligence-based visual search and image recognition solutions.

For startups and small outfits with fewer than 50 staff or under five years old, Web Imp was the overall winner. The homegrown startup offers Web design and other services.

Two other companies – ShopBack and Rewardz – were selected by the judges to join the list of great tech companies to work for in Singapore.

The winners, announced on July 19, were assessed on their people culture, innovative spirit, people management, human resource policies and financial sustainability.
