Samsung Galaxy Nexus finally out in Singapore on Feb 11, in white and black

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus, the Google phone that had fans waiting for months, is finally here in Singapore this Saturday with a small bonus – it will come in both black and white.

The first model here to sport the new Android 4.0 OS out of the box, the top-end phone had been delayed from its original January launch, missing both the Christmas and immediate post-Chinese New Year buying sprees.

But the S$948 phone, which won’t be exclusive to any operator here, looks like it will still go on to be a hit after building on the success of Samsung’s earlier Galaxy S II phone which started shipping last year.

What’s great about the Galaxy Nexus besides its new OS? The XL-sized 4.65-inch screen for starters as well as near-field communications (NFC) support for wireless tap-and-go payment services when they finally get launched in Singapore (read our hands-on take on the Galaxy Nexus).

Along with the new “Google experience” phone, Samsung is also shipping the Galaxy Tab 7.7 and a “coral pink” version of the Galaxy S II this Saturday. Looks like the Korean phone maker is flooding the market full of gadgets for 2012.

We don’t know yet. Think the telcos will probably mull over it and get the ads out this Saturday.
