They came for tip and tricks to shoot winning pictures with the mobile phone and went away with valuable ideas to capture the perfect moment.

At the Techgoondu x Huawei Capturing the Moment mobile photography workshop on Friday, readers discussed what made for a prize-winning shot in a competition, such as Huawei’s Next-Image Awards.

The Techgoondu reader experience was sponsored by Huawei and enabled readers to try out and make the most of the company’s mobile phones known for their photography capabilities.

Among the things that readers learnt was framing a subject to make it more compelling to the eye. At the same time, making use of a phone’s features, such as its optical zoom or its night mode, allowed them to take photos that they had not expected.
