Vietnam wins top three prizes in EA FIFA competition

Vietnam cinched the top three prizes for the recent EA Sports FIFA Online 2 competition held at One Asia Cup 2012, one of the largest regional cyber game tournaments.

Going up against 20 finalists from Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia, Vietnam walked away in victory with a US$7,000 cash prize. This is the third consecutive year that Vietnam has emerged champion in the annual contest for the multiplayer online football game, and the first time that all top three places were swept away by Vietnam.

The other key competition in the game tournament was Counter Strike Online, where 16 teams comprising of 80 contestants from Singapore and Malaysia put their skills to the test for the S$4,000 prize.

Malaysia’s OrangeEsports emerged victorious whilst LiteLab from Singapore and Team LZ from Malaysia emerged second and third respectively.
