If you think smartphones have always been made for geeks and men in general, Samsung now has a range of phones and tablets which it claims caters to the “modern woman” who loves gadgets.

Earlier this week, it said it was bringing  its La’Fleur collection of devices to Singapore, with suitably accessorised ambassadors in the shape of Korean girl group 4minute.

Under this La’Fleur banner, you’ll find versions of the popular Galaxy S III and Galaxy S III mini phones now adorned with pretty flower motifs at the back.

The devices also come with a suite of customised apps, wallpapers and ringtones that Samsung claims are designed for women to stay on top of various aspects of their lives. The only tablet in the collection is the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) in Garnet Red, and comes available in 3G or Wi-Fi.

Some of the customised applications that come with the La’Fleur devices include Club 21, a fashion app that alerts users to the latest promotions in store, Yellowsing, an exclusive Samsung app that provides tips on Korean food places and the latest Korean news, and Viki, a TV app that enables users to listen to music and watch dramas from Asia, the United States and Britain, just to name a few.

The Samsung La’Fleur Collection will be available in Singapore from 2 March 2013 at the following prices:

Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) 8GB Wi-Fi – SS$298

Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) 8GB 3G – S$398

Galaxy S III mini – S$568

Galaxy S III LTE – S$868
