Singapore, Malaysia Kobo users get 25 per cent off e-books for a week

Christmas may be over but it’s not too late to give a gift of knowledge from a book, especially when Singapore and Malaysia Kobo users now get 25 per cent off e-books on the online store.

The offer, good until the end of this year, is available store-wide in the two countries. The promo code to input during checkout is BYE2025.

Of course, buying new e-books isn’t the only way to read stuff on your Kobo e-reader, which is made by the Japanese online giant Rakuten.

You can also opt for a monthly subscription, starting from S$9.90 in Singapore, which gives you access to more than two million e-books.

Plus, there is a free option as well in Singapore – with seamless connectivity to the local public libraries, you can borrow books and magazines easily on your Kobo e-reader.

That’s subject to availability, of course, since the libraries only stock a limited number of electronic copies.

Now with the 25-per-cent store-wide discount on Kobo e-books, there’s a better reason to leave the queue at the e-library and head straight to the checkout counter.

Still not sure what to read this holiday season? Here are some suggestions, from the best-selling titles on Kobo in Singapore:

  • Strange Houses by Uketsu: A haunting, imaginative escape into stories hiding behind unusual doors. Perfect for readers who love a little mystery and enjoy playing detective.
  • Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros: Enter the brutal and elite world of a war college for dragon riders by the best-selling author
  • Strange Pictures by Uketsu: An interconnected mystery offering an addictive experience for fans who delight in solving mysteries and exploring dark, visually driven narratives.
  • Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros: The highly anticipated continuation from the Empyrean Series. Expect adrenaline, heartbreak, and page-turning intensity.
  • Atomic Habits by James Clear: A chart-topper, this book promises an easy and proven way to build good habits and break bad ones
